Flux Pavilion

Flux Pavilion (Joshua Steele) is a Dubstep artist from Towcester, UK. He started producing when he was only 15 but just recently got into the dubstep scene and is music has taken off.

Steele said, “The brand ‘electronic music’ is so diverse, I think most modern music falls into that bracket. What I love is the ability to create massive energy with it and keep tweaking and refining tunes for months. Whereas with a band, there’s only so much you can really do… without resorting to using some electronics of course. For me dance music is fun and is better suited to a live environment, but with my tracks I like to put something in there that you can listen to at home as well. I think it’s really interesting how you can turn a dance track into something that actually has real emotion to it.” Found on: http://www.beatportal.com/feed/item/introducing-flux-pavillion/

Flux Pavilion and Dr P created their own label, Circus records. Check out their myspace to listen to some awesome tracks.

Excision

Jeff Abel, better known as Excision, is a Canadian producer and remixer. The feel of Excision has a combination of transforming basslines, assertive power and laid back energy.  People who crave the aggressive dubstep seem to love Excision’s style. He has a VERY robotic sound which does not appeal to everyone.

The past couple of years he as performed at the Shambhala Music Festival located in British Columbia, Canada.  Here is a link to the festival’s website. He is currently on the 2011 SUBSONIC TOUR. The tour started February 2nd and will end March 19th.
Excision has founded the two labels Rottun Recordings and EX7 Music. Rottun Recordings has an impressive list of artists that include: Excision, Datsik, Stenchman, Subvert, Mark Instinct, Vaski, Liquid Stranger, Downlink, DZ, Innasekt, Threnody, Noiz, UltraBlack, Sully, Tom Encore, RAkoon, Vista, Tyrant, Ruf, Lone Wolf, Docwra, Press, SelfSimilar, Lukki, Goldfinger aka Twisted, Molez, Jackal & Cheshire, No Money, and Trillbass.

Borgore

Asaf Borger(23), also known as Borgore, is an Israeli dubstep artist and producer. His groundbreaking sounds are nontraditional and intense. If you like raunchy lyrics and dirty beats, Borgore would be perfect for you.

Along with the dubstep music scene, Borger is also the drummer of Israeli band Shabira. It is clear through the harsh sounds of Borgore that there may be metal influence.

Borger calls his music “gorestep” which can be classified as a subgenre of dubstep. There is less wobbly bass line and more “chainsaw-bass” as people like to say. It is faster paced and harsh on the ears. Definitely one of my favorites.

Borger has created the website buygore.com. Here you can buy Borgore’s EP. The About Us section says:
“Buygore is a label , store and society founded by the provocation addict, Borgore,. The aim is to bring you the music that the guys & girls at national radio love but can't broadcast.

Buygore may be associated with Dubstep, but our intentions are to release and support artists from the whole music spectrum insisting on our most valuable and precious virtue , QUALITY.
